When I think of the strengths and qualities that motivate me to help me succeed it makes me think of a really great show called The Bear. The main character, a chef, puts together a list of standards for his restaurant. He refers it as non-negotiables the restaurant must do to achieve greatness. I have a similar list that guides me in achieving greatness as a mentor, a business woman and as a leader.
My top three core values are creativity, connection and caring.

I believe my creativity drives my passion in my life and in my work. I use my creativity to fuel strategic thinking, provide different perspectives and generate innovative solutions.

I believe I am a connector which I believe is very important to the overall dynamic between a teacher and a learner.

I am very caring and empathetic person. I feel this is essential to being an understanding teacher and also helps learners feel supported during their learning journey.

It's in my DNA
II have had a very long career in advertising and marketing. However, there has always been a place in my heart that wanted a career in teaching. Both of my parents are teachers so it really is part of my DNA.

It has always been a passion of mine to help people reach their career goals in marketing. This became more evident to me when I started mentoring college students and helping them prepare for the business world. In October of 2023 I joined the Marketing Learning and Development team at HP, Inc. to begin my career path in this new direction.

Since all of my previous work experience has been on the marketing side, I have decided that a Masters in LD&T would be very helpful to my career growth. It will help me in my current L&D role to create and design custom training programs for the marketing organization at HP.

A few years down the rode I would really like to teach at the University level.
